Darüber hinaus werden alternative Ansätze zur Förderung ethischen Verhaltens untersucht. Unethisches Verhalten entsteht aus einer Vielzahl an Gründen. Ein Grund kann ein intensiver Wettbewerb sein, verursacht durch beispielsweise die Verknappung natürlicher Ressourcen, einer starken Inflation oder einer sehr hohen Arbeitslosenquote. Eine weitere Ursache kann das Arbeitsumfeld sein, denn Personen, die sich in einem Arbeitsumfeld befinden, in dem sie schlecht behandelt werden, verhalten sich mit höherer Wahrscheinlichkeit unethisch. Darüber hinaus kann unethisches Verhalten auch aus dem mangelnden Bewusstsein einer Person, dass sie gerade vor einem ethischen Problem steht, entstehen. Andernfalls hat sie vielleicht gute Absichten, handelt aber unüberlegt oder hat tatsächlich unethische Intentionen. Diese verschiedenen Gründe für unethisches Verhalten zeigen wiederum die Vielseitigkeit der Thematik. Schließlich gibt es eine ganze Reihe von Entstehungsfaktoren, auf die ein Unternehmen achten sollte. In dieser Arbeit wird deshalb untersucht, wie ethisches Verhalten im Unternehmen gefördert werden kann. Eine Option könnten Anreizsysteme sein, denn die sind möglicherweise in der Lage, ethisches Mitarbeiterverhalten zu incentivieren. Anreizsysteme verbinden Belohnungen (und/oder Bestrafungen) mit der Leistungsbewertung. Im organisatorischen Kontext äußern sich Bestrafungen jedoch häufig dadurch, dass positive Beloh-nungen fehlen. Es wird dann beispielsweise kein Bonus ausgezahlt oder die Beförderung bleibt aus. Anreize sind von hoher Bedeutung, denn sie legen den Fokus auf das gewünschte Ergebnis und motivieren die Mitarbeiter, ihre Leistungsziele zu erreichen und so
