Inhaltsangabe: Einleitung: Seit Jahren werden die unterschiedlichsten Methoden des Personalmanagements diskutiert. Begriffe wie Taylorismus, Fordismus, Volvoismus, Human Ressource Management (HRM) oder Lean Management spielen dabei eine vordergründige Rolle. Sie stehen für Möglichkeiten des Einsatzes von menschlicher Arbeitskraft in einem Unternehmen. Das Spektrum möglicher Nutzung menschlicher Ressourcen in Betrieben reicht von der Betrachtung eines Individuums als reinem Produktionsfaktor bis hin zu einem mit materiellen (finanzielle Erfolgsbeteiligungen) und immateriellen (Mitsprache bei Unternehmensentscheidungen) Rechten ausgestatteten Mitarbeiter. Begibt man sich auf die Suche nach der „optimalen" Nutzung menschlicher Ressourcen in Unternehmen, so wird diese durch Einflußfaktoren wie die Kultur, die Gesellschaft, die Staatsform und die Bedürfnisstrukturen in der Bevölkerung eines Landes beeinflußt. Diese Einflußfaktoren veranlassen Wirtschaftswissenschaftler, Ökonomen und Unternehmer Personalstrategien zu entwickeln, die auf der einen Seite einer hohen Produktivität und auf der anderen Seite dem optimalen Einsatz der Arbeitskraft Mensch unter diversen Bedingungen gerecht werden sollen. Es ist nicht die Aufgabe dieser Arbeit, eine solche Personalstrategie zu entwerfen. Vielmehr betrachtet sie einen kleinen Bestandteil solcher Strategien. Es ist eine Form der Arbeitsorganisation, das sogenannte Prinzip der „Job-Rotation". Frei übersetzt bedeutet dieser Begriff: „Arbeitsplatzwechsel". Vereinfacht dargestellt, rotiert ein Mitarbeiter innerhalb einer Unternehmung und eines Zeitraumes zwischen unterschiedlichen Arbeitsplätzen. In der einfachsten Form wechselt ein Arbeiter zwischen geringfügig unterschiedlichen und relativ einfach auszuführenden Aufgaben innerhalb einer Fertigungsgruppe oder -insel. Komplexere Formen der Job-Rotation existieren auf Managementebenen. Ein Arbeitsplatzwechsel umfaßt dort sehr viel umfangreichere Aufgaben, als auf vertikal niedrigere
