Die ADAC Motorwelt kürt den mit einem Verbrennungs- und Elektromotor betriebenen Toyota Auris Hybrid zum Auto der Zukunft 2011. Vor wenigen Tagen überschreibt der Südkurier den Leitartikel in seinem Wirtschaftsteil mit "E-Autos mischen die Branche auf" und führt fort: "Als Alternative zum Verbrennungsmotor wird Elektromobilität immer wichtiger". Bereits 2009 bemerkt das Handelsblatt: "Der Öko-Trend (in der Autobranche, Anm. d. Verf.) ist unumkehrbar". Der Run auf Energiequellen der Zukunft wird nicht zuletzt durch folgende Äußerung von Mycle Schneider eindringlich beschworen: "Die Atomkraft ist keine Brückentechnologie, sondern nach Fukushima nur noch eine Abwicklungs-Industrie." Die OECD rückt ökologische Innovationen im Rahmen ihrer "Innovation Strategy" und ihrer "Green Growth Strategy" mit der 2009 herausgegebenen Studie "Eco-Innovation in Industry - Enabling Green Growth" in den Blickpunkt. "In" oder "trendy" ist das eine. Wie wichtig aber sind ökologische Innovationen für das Bestehen von Unternehmen im globalen Wettbewerb? Und wie kann dies strategisch angegangen und in ein Geschäftsmodell gegossen werden?
