Ziel des vorliegenden Beitrags war, zu untersuchen, ob sich zum einen die Le- tungen deutscher Sekundarstufen-I-Lehrkräfte von denen anderer Länder unt- scheiden und ob sich zum anderen Unterschiede in den Lerngelegenheiten der verschiedenen innerdeutschen Ausbildungsgänge für ein Lehramt der Sekund- stufe I in unterschiedlichen Ergebnissen niederschlagen. Aus dem internationalen Vergleich wird deutlich, dass die Leistungen der deutschen Befragten in Mathematik im internationalen Mittel, für Mathematik- daktik darüber und in Pädagogik an der Spitze liegen. Plausibel ist, die Ursache hierfür in der Struktur der deutschen Sekundarstufen-I-Ausbildung zu sehen. Innerhalb Deutschlands ragen die Leistungen der angehenden Gymnasi- lehrkräfte fachbezogen heraus, während dies in Bezug auf Pädagogik für Gru- schullehrkräfte gilt. Besorgniserregend ist das Profil der angehenden Lehrkräfte mit Schwerpunkt Sekundarstufe I, die fachlich hinter den Gymnasial- und pä- gogisch hinter den Grundschullehrkräften zurückbleiben. Die Sandwich-Position ihrer Ausbildung, die weder eindeutig fachlich noch eindeutig pädagogisch a- gerichtet ist, könnte mit gravierenden Nachteilen verbunden sein - insbesondere seit der Mittlere Bildungsabschluss in vielen Bundesländern teilzentral vergeben wird. Es ist allerdings zu früh, aus diesem Ergebnis weitreichende Schlussfol- rungen zu ziehen, bevor es nicht in anderen Studien repliziert werden kann. So ist darauf hinzuweisen, dass es sich bei MT21 nicht um eine repräsentative Stichprobe handelt, sondern um eine, die kriteriengeleitet zusammengestellt w- de. Wir haben im Text daher immer von den Stichproben bzw. Befragten aus beispielsweise Südkorea und nicht von Südkorea insgesamt gesprochen. Darüber hinaus handelt es sich lediglich um eine Studie mit Mathematiklehrkräften. - dere Fächer waren außen vor.
