Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Pädagogische Psychologie, Note: 15/20, ISERP, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Schon die alten griechischen Philosophen haben darüber gegrübelt, ob Motorik und Kognition zusammenhängen. (Everke, 2007) Da ich selbst sehr viel Bewegung brauche und in der Schule dauernd mit dem Stuhl geschaukelt habe, frage ich mich ob die Kinder, vor allem die Kindergartenkinder keine Probleme haben ruhig sitzen zu bleiben. Bewegung ist ein Grundbedürfnis der Kinder, sie rennen, laufen, springen, balancieren wo sie nur Gelegenheit dazu haben, all dies ist ein unmittelbarer Ausdruck kindlicher Lebensfreude. Bewegung spielt vor allem im Kindesalter eine wichtige Rolle und ist Voraussetzung für eine gesunde und leistungsfähige Entwicklung. Im Berufsalltag in der Schule begegnet man jeden Tag Kinder die nervös sind, die schaukeln, sich nicht lange oder überhaupt nicht konzentrieren können, sich andauernd mit etwas anderem beschäftigen, als das was die Lehrer/in gerade erzählt. Diese Kinder sind in den meisten Fällen nicht krank, sondern leiden unter Bewegungsmangel. Bei der Suche eines Themas bin ich im Internet auf eine Studie gestoßen, die sich mit dem Zusammenhang von Bewegungserziehung und Kognition auseinandersetzt, es handelt sich um eine rezente Studie. Weil ich selbst miterlebt habe, dass Kinder, vor allem Kindergartenkinder nicht allzu lange ruhig sitzen bleiben können, sich dann auch noch auf eine Geschichte o.ä. konzentrieren müssen, möglichst ohne sich zu bewegen, fand ich diese Studie sehr interessant und wollte mich näher mit diesem Thema auseinandersetzen. Deswegen stelle ich in dieser Arbeit die Hypothese auf, dass Kinder möglicherweise besser kognitive Fähigkeiten erlangen würden, wenn sie mehr Bewegung hätten. Schulen, in denen Bewegung eine wichtige Rolle spielt, berichten, dass die Aufmerksamkeitsstörungen der Kinder abnehmen und dass sie eine bessere Lern- und Arbeitsatmosphäre haben. (Stroth o.J.)
