Diese Untersuchung wurde anhand leitfadengestützter Interviews mit fünf Waldorfschülerinnen durchgeführt. Die Arbeit verfolgt das Ziel, neue Erkenntnisse über die Schulzufriedenheit und den Erfolg bei Waldorfschülerinnen herauszufinden und zu überprüfen, inwiefern die bisher durchgeführten Studien und bestehenden Theorien zur Schulzufriedenheit und erfolgreichem Lernen auch auf die Aussagen der befragten Schülerinnen zutreffen. Diese Arbeit kann besonders Eltern, die sich mit alternativen Schulmodellen beschäftigen und die möglicherweise vor der Wahl einer geeigneten Schule für ihr Kind stehen, Anregungen bieten und als eventuelle Entscheidungshilfe fungieren. Des Weiteren hat diese Arbeit die Absicht, Schülerinnen staatlicher Schulen, die einen Schulwechsel in Erwägung ziehen, die Waldorfpädagogik nahezubringen und ihnen somit ein alternatives Schulkonzept mit Vor- und Nachteilen vorzustellen. Die geschilderten Vor- und Nachteile der Waldorfpädagogik dienen ebenso Pädagogen, welche eine beratende Rolle bei Eltern oder Schülerinnen bei der Schulwahl oder einem Schulwechsel, einnehmen. Die Arbeit basiert auf der von Rudolf Steiner entwickelten Waldorfpädagogik und verschiedenen Studien und Theorien zur Schulzufriedenheit und zum Lernerfolg, beispielsweise auf Haschers Studie zur Schulzufriedenheit und Hatties Studie zum Lernerfolg. Die wichtigsten Ergebnisse der Untersuchung ergeben, dass die befragten Waldorfschülerinnen überwiegend sehr zufrieden mit ihrer Schule sind und ihre schulischen Leistungen selbst positiv einschätzen.
