Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Kunst - Allgemeines, Kunsttheorie, Note: 2,0, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die von der akademischen Salonausstellungsjury abgelehnten Künstler, wie Pierre‐Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet und Paul Cézanne, organisierten 1874 eine eigene Ausstellung. Auf dieser wurde der Begriff des Impressionismus geprägt, denn das Gemälde "Impression. Aufgehende Sonne" von Monet verleidete eine Kritiker die Ausstellung abwertend die "Ausstellung der Impressionisten" zu nennen. Diese Künstler legten ihren Schwerpunkt auf die Farben, Formen und das Licht‐Schatten‐Spiel und weiniger auf den gezeichneten Gegenstand. Dabei machten sie sich die neusten Erkenntnisse der Wahrnehmungspsychologie1 zu nutzen. Die Neuerungen in ihrer Technik bestand darin ihr Gemälde mit flüchtigen Pinselstrichen zu zeichnen und damit das Auge anzuregen, das Bild wieder zusammen zusetzen. Durch diese Technik war auch ein ausgeprägtes Licht‐Schatten‐Spiel möglich, dass kurzlebige Lichteffekte entstehen ließ. Eine Weiterentwicklung des Impressionismus ist der Pointelismus, der zwischen 1880 bis 1910 in Mode kam. Sein Begründer war Georges Seurat. Der Pointelismus baut auf den erweiterten naturwissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen auf, dass die menschliche Netzhaut das Bild in kleinste Rasterpunkte aufteilt und es erst wieder im Geiste zusammen setzt. Seine Technik des Impressionismus geht soweit, dass anstelle farblicher Pinsel striche nur noch Punkte auf die Leinwand aufgetragen wurden. Es fand auch kein vermischen der Farben mehr statt, weder auf die Leinwand noch vor dem Auftrag. Durch diese Technik muss das Auge des Betrachters erst das Gemälde wieder im Geiste verbinden. Paul Cézanne reduziert in "Mont Sainte‐ Victoire" die Natur auf einzelne geometrische Flächen und Paul Gauguin, durch seine Tahiti‐Reisen inspiriert, setzt leuchtende Farben nebeneinander.
