About the Book

A gruesome gothic gorefest that is definitely not for children or the squeamish. A student vanishes, then a prostitute plying her trade near the old Victorian cemetery in Sheffield, England. Weird stories are circulating that are dismissed by the local police. Then the third victim, a female student, goes awol from the local mortuary. Suddenly zombies are everywhere as the plague gets worse by the day. This is a case for Jason Hawk, paranormal investigator. Barricaded in a University building he awaits a call from the local Mayor and he escapes in a helicopter just in time. At a mansion on the outskirts of the city, he joins the few known survivors. What is needed is information. Someone has to go back into Sheffield and return to the epicentre of the horror - the Victorian cemetery. Jason volunteers, thinking that zombies only come out at night. Amidst the gravestones and long-forgotten tombs, he finds otherwise. In a desperate bid to escape the clutches of dozens of the Undead, he hides in a crypt. He is alone and terrified... (Also available on AMAZON KINDLE) Comments so far: "Hey dude! This is awesome!" Jill Booth on Facebook FIVE STAR REVIEW - Gripping tale of Yorkshire ghoulishness 19 Jan 2012 This tale was fast-paced and kept me reading, wanting to know the outcome of Jason Hawk and his brave attempt to rescue humanity. Sheffield serves as a good setting and it's obvious John has a good knowledge of the locality featured in the story. I could almost smell the stench coming from the rotting corpses and still don't know how Jason could bring himself to climb into a coffin. Uurrgh. Not to read just before you go to sleep (which I did). You will quite likely have nightmares. Richard Benson on Amazon Kindle version.
About the Author: Whether it's a terrifying horror like Zombie, a frightening dystopia like Soul Survivor, or a wonderful action packed Viking fantasy like The Weavers of Time, John knows how to keep the reader hooked. His writing puts you right in the middle of the story and you soon feel that you are a part of it. He is adept at writing in many genres including Romance and academic works. His stories and articles have been published in six magazines and he has just signed the contract for his first book with The History Press in England. The Real Napoleon - The Untold Story will be published later this year. It is based upon the twenty articles John has written for the INS - The International Napoleonic Society based in Montreal. Many of John's titles are already available on Amazon Kindle. When you buy one of John's books you can be sure of a great read!
