Schl�sse kurz wiederzugeben. F.das Entstehen der Hippurs�ure im thieris chen Organismus.

Nach dieser Methode fanden die Verf. Bei Kaninchen Ziegen, Rind und Pferd bei reichlicher Hippurs�ureausscheidung im Harn. Niemals Hippurs�ure oder Benzo�s�ure aber stets Bernsteins�ure im normalen Blute. Auch nach dem Genuese von Benzo�s�ure fand sich bei Kaninchen, Menschen und Hunden im Blut, Speichel und Schweiss nur Benzoes�ure und Bernsteinsiture, aber nie Hippurslture. Die Verf. Schliessen hieraus, dass die Hippurs�ure des Herne nicht als solche von den Nieren aus dem Blute abgeschieden werden k�nne sondern dass sie erst in den Nieren gebildet werden m�sse. Scheinbar damit im Widerspruch aber steht die Beobachtung der Verf. Dass, wenn die Nierenth�tigkeit durch Unterbinden der N ieren-arterie und -vene) eliminirt wurde bei Kaninchen nach Injection von benzoe sam - em Natron in den Magen ausser viel Benzo�s�ure auch Hippur saure in nicht unbetr�chtlicher Menge im Blute nachgewiesen werden konnte. Die Verf. Glauben aber, dass durch die Unterbindung der Nierengefltsse im Blute abnorme Bedingungen gesetzt werden, verm�ge deren abnorme chemische Vorg�nge, darunter Processe, die sonst erst in den Nieren stattfinden, schon im Blute eintreten konnen. K uh ne und Hallwachs nehmen an, dass die Hippurs�ure in der Leber gebildet werde, sie beobachteten, als sie Benzo�s�ure, um den 'durch gang derselben durch die Leber zu vermeiden, ins Blut einf�hrten, dass im Harn wesentlich Benzo�saure auftrat. Die Verf. Glauben, dass die Ursache hiervon darin liege, dass die grosse Menge von Ben zo�s�ure nicht so rasch in Hippurs�ure verwandelt werden konnte, denn als sie. Kaninchen, die bei geeignetem Futter keine Hippurs�ure abschieden, benzo�saures Natron in concentrirter L�sung unter die Haut oder in die vena jugularis inycirten, trat im Harn anf�nglich allerdings viel Benzo�s�ure, aber sp�ter auch viel Hippurs�ure auf. Bei Wiederholung des Versuchs 'von K�hne und Hallwach s, voll st�ndiges Unterbinden der Pfortader und der anderen in die porta hepatis ein und austretenden Gef�sse, starben die Thiere rasch, ohne dass vorher Harnsecretion stattfand. Das Blut enthielt dann neben Benzo�s�ure etwas Hippurs�_ure und (bei Kaninchen) auffallend viel Bernsteins�ure. N ach Injection von hippursaurem Natron in den Magen von Kaninchen die bei geeignetem Futter keine Hippurs�ure abschieden, war im Blute der Halsgefasse keine oder nur wenig Hip pursinre, aber Benzo�s�ure in gr�sserer Menge und aufl'aliend viel Harnstoff, nach Injection unter die Haut dagegen viel Hippursiiure und keine Benzo�s�ure in demselben Blute enthalten. Die Hippur saure wird demnach im Magen oder Darme theilweise in Benzo�s�ure und Glycin gespalten, ein anderer Theil geht unzeraetzt in den Harn �ber. Die durch die Spaltung entstandene Benzo�s�ure gelangt ins Blut und wird in den Nieren wieder in Hippurs�ure verwandelt. Das Glycin geht sehr wahrscheinlich in Harnstoff �ber. Beim Hunde und mit k�nstlichem Magensafte konnte diese Zersetzung der Hippurstture nicht nachgewiesen werden. Welcher stickstofl'haltige K�rper im Organismus zur Hippurstturebildung in der Niere verwandelt wird.
