About the Book

The fundamental rules of success described in this powerful self-improvement book have their genesis in a series of seminars and trainings the author developed over the years for a limited number of high end corporate clients. Reigniting the conqueror spark in his audiences, Lucian Caprau created success even during tough economic times. He is a firm believer in the concept of personal economy; a concept that he thinks we all must embrace in order to achieve definitive abundance. Having lived in, or visited over two dozen countries, and going from absolute zero to abundance in different social and cultural environments, the author is the ultimate authority in immigrant success. Being passionate about human psychology of achievement and failure, he observed, learned and adopted over more than two decades the habits which lead to building great success, and identified and studied the behaviors of failures, warning his students of their dangers. Listening to many students, friends and family who told him that millions could reap great benefits from his teachings and amazing true stories, Lucian Caprau created this straight forward, stories-rich, politically incorrect book, which effectively helps readers who apply the principles described within, achieve success in their lives and businesses. The next volume in the series "American Zebras, American Tigers" called "Bridges to Financial Freedom" will teach readers, immigrants or not, different proven ways of creating a prosperous personal economy in United States.
About the Author: I. M. Lucian Caprau was born and grew up under the Iron Curtain, during the peak of the totalitarian communist regime in Romania. Both his parents were intellectuals - a frowned upon status by the political authorities during those times. The ruling communist party's motto, proudly chanted during rallies, was: "We are working, not thinking." His love for books was deeply embedded in his soul at a very early age. He learned from his mother that if he will ever have to choose between eating abundantly but not reading or suffering from hunger but having access to books, he should always choose the second. As a child in a caged society, he finds absolute liberty in reading, and in an abundant imagination, in which he escapes often. He matures in a powerful circle of 7 friends, which will always remain his trusted anchors. The friendships forged then, during the gray times, when thinking was an act of rebellion, will never be forgotten or replaced. After the bloody revolution of December 1989 the communism fell, and a virgin society opened up for the wild capitalism. New values and systems chaotically conquered the market. Being an intellectual meant nothing without financial strength. Keeping up with the "new world", Lucian continued his post graduate studies in business and international relations and engaged in several enterprises. He was successful, and by the time he was 32 he was financially independent. All at the expense of his unwritten books, which were constantly giving him insomnia. Realizing full of disgust that the new leaders of the young "Balkan democracy" were the old dictatorial elite wearing merely a new mask, he decides to immigrate to America. At the turn of the Millennium he gave up everything, and crossed the Atlantic with two pieces of luggage. Starting from zero he achieved success again, only this time he did not neglect his calling for writing books! Lucian Caprau is a true Renaissance thinker. He still believes that absolute love, beauty and awareness are our natural state of being. A sought after trainer, international key note speaker, success creator, and best-selling author, he has his center in Southern California, but travels everywhere on Earth, which he affectionately calls: "my home for now..."
