Our Mission: Raising environmental care awareness among children using their language, in their language.
One of the main focuses of the project is to address the language barriers that many children in developing nations face when trying to understand the challenges and opportunities in their environment. By utilizing technology and traditional forms of education such as books, we can effectively reach and empower children in different communities.
The project utilizes an engaging and interactive story of Zalu, who is on a mission to change the reality for all species on earth and help reduce harmful activities and take better care of the environment. The story of Zalu serves as a guide and inspiration for children to learn about the environment and their role in preserving it.
At My Zalu, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn about and preserve the environment in a way that is meaningful and relevant to them. That's why we partner with communities to co-create the story of Zalu, a character that represents a unique endangered species or animal that is significant to that community. By choosing the persona of Zalu that the children and the community can identify with, we are able to create a story that resonates with them and is translated into their local language.
We understand that even though the different Zalus may look different, they all face the same threats. Through these stories, we aim to not only educate children about the importance of environmental preservation but also to teach them to appreciate the beauty in diversity-in the animals, in the environment, and in our communities.
My Zalu can be a massive elephant, My Zalu can be a tiny ant, My Zalu can be a little flower, or it can be you and me. At the end of the day, it is our responsibility to protect the environment and safeguard our planet for My Zalu, Your Zalu, and Our Zalu.
