A fun filled photo storybook cookbook guaranteed to start the kids on their way to a love of cooking.
When Zach's cousin Zerlina comes for a weeklong visit, she lets it slip out that her father's pizzeria isn't doing well. She overheard a customer say their pizza is just so-so.
Zach springs into action and asks Chef Giovanni, from his favorite pizza place, to teach them his secret recipe. Chef G wants to help but various obstacles keep popping up, like when he gets an order for 100 pizza pies and "Mamma Mia!" he is short of help. The kids volunteer for the job, even signing their moms up for the delivery. Zach and Zerlina don white chef aprons and hats, bringing their innocence and antics along with them. Somehow they manage to get through it all.
Finally the day before Zerlina has to go home arrives, and it looks like they aren't going to get the recipe. They are outside kicking the soccer ball around one last time, when suddenly, out of nowhere, Chef G's pizza van comes rolling down the street.
This exciting, heartwarming, humorous storybook cookbook is full of fun photos and lots of laughs, along with the best pizza in the world recipe.
