Book Overview
This book is a record book, logbook, scrapbook and journal made exclusively for two dogs. Use this book to document, organize, and review information about your dogs' personality, family, friends, health, medical, diet, grooming, exercise, and training. This book can also be used to help capture memories of fun and happy experiences.
There are two reference pages and four sections in this book. The two reference pages include:
- Quick Reference - Use this table to document and organize basic information for quick reference in the future.
- Notes for the Caregiver - Use this table to provide important information to the caregiver. If you would rather not allow the caregiver access to the entire book, then you can make a copy of this page to give to them.
The four sections include:
- Section 1: Personality, Family, Friends - This section is a great place to document your dogs' personality and family/friend relationships. It contains a personality table for likes / dislikes / favorites, a chart to create a canine family tree, and a family and friends table to list relationships of family members and friends. The section ends with a fun look alike page to show similarities to someone or something.
- Section 2: Health, Medical - This section is used for documenting all those important health and medical details. There are logs for tracking weight and height, vaccinations, and veterinarian office visits (up to 30 visits for each dog); tables to record medications, vitamins, supplements, emergencies, surgeries, hospitalizations, allergies, and medical conditions; and health history notes for both your dogs and their canine family.
- Section 3: Diet, Grooming, Exercise, Training - This section contains all the basics to keep your dogs in top shape. Use the tables in this section to write down feeding plans, exercise plans, grooming plans, and training goals. Document grooming history by referring to the grooming logs. Track the progress of reaching training goals in the training logs (up to 40 training sessions for each dog).
- Section 4: Fun and Happy Memories - This is the section where all those special moments with your dogs can be documented with photos (4x6 or smaller), sketches and journaling. The section begins with pages dedicated to the first day with your dogs. Then, eight pages are provided to get up to four paw prints of each dog as they grow. The next twenty pages are reserved to capture memories of first-time experiences such as a birthday, visit to the veterinarian, trip to the dog park, vacation, float trip, hunting/fishing trip, cat encounter, etc. Following the first-time experience pages are seventy pages used exclusively for holidays and special events. The section ends with thirty pages devoted to recording memories of experiences that are not part of the other three areas. Consider including milestones and noteworthy or interesting items such as, weird things found in my poop, things I've torn up, etc., within this area.
