Alan Comeaux has already faced more trouble and heartbreak than most people experience in a lifetime. "Your Cross" is about your challenges in life without God. He grew up in a churchgoing family: his mother taught him guiding values; his father taught him how to work hard. Alan left home at seventeen and began to create a successful life, but then he lost his first real job. God directed him to leave Louisiana. He left his entire family to come to California. He then encountered the discomfort-and even violence-of homelessness. He was left to die on the streets of LA and though God fearing people he found a home to live in where he was able to get a new start again.
The words "Your Cross" was spoken to him from the family who saved him and led him back to God. She said, "I saw your cross hanging from your rear view mirror and I want you to know he is here for you and works though people."
His journey back to the God began. Many years of working hard he found is place in sales and real estate. He got married, but his marriage fell apart. He was taught through God about pride, the killer of all relationships. He invested time and money into business opportunities and almost lost everything. Money became a master. Through it all, God was with him, though Alan didn't always acknowledge his presence.
God brought Alan and his wife back together with "the one word" God spoke to him. He helped them strengthen their marriage. He taught Alan how to be a good father to his children. Looking back, Alan realizes he had God's help through the difficulties, and he's turned what he's learned into advice to help others grow closer to God. "Your Cross"offers encouragement and inspiration for various aspects of your faith, such as doing God's work, loving unconditionally, healing a broken marriage and other crosses that take time and patience to learn how to carry with confidence.
