About the Author: Dennis Johnston "Your Connecting Flight to Heaven" Title I D# - 3551806 Promotional Text Creation Author Biography I am the father of four, and grandfather of eleven. I served on active duty with the Navy for four years. After spending eight years employed in the private sector, I joined the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons. Completing 22 years service, I retired as a Senior Lieutenant/Assistant Department Head to the Captain. During my tenure with the Federal Bureau of Prison, I was promoted to the Correctional Counselors position where I conducted both one on one counseling, along with group counseling over a seven year period. I established numerous counseling programs for the inmates that included a series of graduating steps in a positive mental attitude class. These steps included goal setting, problems solving and positive mental outlook skills as the main focus for all inmates attending the four, twelve week sessions. This led to my authoring the book "Right Side Up", for children; establishing the basic concepts taught to the inmates who attended my classes. In October, 2007, my life was changed forever. While on a religious pilgrimage to Medjugorje, I encountered a request from Our Blessed Mother, to write a book about Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory. Without knowing just how to address those topics, I found out that she had far more in store for me to write about then Heaven, Hell and Purgatory. There would be times the writings would consume me, and there were the times I had no idea what to write about. As I describe in the book, Our Lady told me that "I would get the help as I needed it." I am a Sacristant for our parish. I assist our parish priest, Father John, in the preparation of daily mass, funerals, etc., setting up for, and, or, assisting in services. I am a substitute teacher for Confraternity Christian Doctrine, CCD, our parish's Sunday school. I am a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the President of our seniors club, The Holy Sepulcher Sociable's. However, and by far most important, my life is dedicated to God, and letting those who don't know of His love, how they can come to experience this love that they would never realize without Him.
