Poetry is the oldest branch of literary practice, indeed, it is as old as human civilization. Oldest books, even those known to us as Revealed Books, have come down to us in poetry format. It is believed that in olden times, people spoke in the poetic language. Poetry varied in definition, style, format, dimension, subjects and purposes. Scholars are often found divided in their opinion. But there is hardly any debate with regard to the fact that only the greatest minds of mankind devoted themselves in poetry practice Poet Nahar Farid Khan (Gulnahar Begum) was born in Bangladesh in the Fifties. Growing up in the realm of literary culture. She became interested in literature as soon as she read about Bengali literature. She started writing at an early age. Nahar read news on Chittagong Radio Station in the Seventies. She made her debut as a lyricist in BTV in the Eighties.Nahar Farid Khan has composed mystery in her poems behind the simple language. At first glance, it seems like something simple but the second meaning of the poem, the third poetic thought, is repeatedly exposed in the text. This can be explained by drawing an example of above short poem. The words, similes, imagery and fiction used in the poem bear the hallmark of the poet's extraordinary poetic style. Nahar has displayed the unique and beautiful structure of art in simple language with the ever-familiar words like river waves, currents, upstream, destination, rudra baishak, Barsha Sudha Daley or Kurani etc. Here we can see some of her creation, I am standing where I am now after my childhood and adolescence.The dream flies beyond the boundaries of the barbed wire.The moment of feeling changes with the passing of age.At the end of the sunny rain there is a rainbow in the sky.The intense love of the cloud floats in the sky water.The romantic love of the snares is engaged in black hair.I found myself transfixed with her use of amazing metaphors embracing nature, while effortlessly directing her readers to examine the bedraggled status of Society, and how mankind has fallen into mindlessly feasting on superficial materialism and ego.Twenty of her books have been published. Among them are ten books of poetry, six books of short stories and four books of rhymes. Two plays have been aired on television. He has also received several honors. Nahar has been the President of Kopotakkho Sahitya Parishad and Sugandha Cultural Organization. She is an executive member of Jatiya Kabita Parishad, Bangladesh Writers Club and Bangla Academy.
