You and I are not told the truth of the reality of both Who we are and What this universe of ours (including our beautiful blue planet) offers us. The universe is in God, for there was nowhere else for it to be when that source of everything created this universe; including space-time. Before that act of creation there was nothing here, since the tell-tale echoes of energy waves bouncing off what previously existed before creation do not seem to exist. Scientists and theologians working at the leading edge of both Science and the spirituality part of Philosophy tell us that God is in this universe below the level of the sub-atomic particles and wave forms; and all the way on up to the ends of the universe. As well, God is involved in the ongoing creation processes of this universe.Virtually everything that You and I think that we know about this universe of ours, including planet earth, is badly limited and reality is not what we see, hear, sense, smell, etc. - in fact reality is very much different from what we sense. You see a piece of solid iron and think that it really is solid, but if all of the particles of matter of iron were placed in the center of a huge football stadium, it would be smaller than a mote of dust in that stadium's open space. We also hear less than is possible, over the full range of sound, sense only a limited part of the roughness, smell just a fraction of what produces volatile compounds, and so on.You have been wrongly taught that the world of mass and energy is built from the bottom up and it is just happenstance that determines what will work as chemistry, physics and life - that is incorrect. The universe is fine-tuned to have you exist and all of the things that occur, from rocks to living creatures, exist and grow in a universe that guides the development of materials and life in a way that selects only those combinations that are likely to be successful. This is not a random universe, but one very much guided by a Creator.You and I are all little packets of God, with limitations, but made in the image of God, because God decided to make us that way. You are not just an animal, but a spiritual being having a human journey in the 'earth school, ' so that you can find your weak areas and strengthen them, all the while becoming more spiritually powerful. You can rely on having those experiences that will help you grow happen to you. You and I have free will so you do not have to learn from them, but the lessons are, and will be, there again for you to choose.You have a great deal of power over your local conditions, because you were made with that power, but our society (including families, schools, churches, governments and businesses) do not support your finding out Who you really are. Once you realize that you are a spiritual being who will never die, although your bodies will die, you are virtually uncontrollable. Some of those with money and power live in Fear and try to control everything and everyone, in an attempt to create the sense of safety - they do not succeed, but try again and again. Once you realize just Who you really are and Why you are here, you are unlikely to be a threat to any except the truly evil ones; but the rich and powerful do not see things that way.Your job, should you accept it, is to learn about Love, become loving and then grow beyond Unconditional Love to joy and peace and, finally to and through enlightenment. The task is difficult and scary, as you deal with your doubts; but it is worth it. This book, by a fellow student on the journey, will provide you with some background information that can help you get going. Your first teachers should not be too far ahead of you, so learning from other students is a less-threatening way to start. About the Author: The author writes as Jesuis Laplume on matters of Science and spirituality part of Philosophy. I was trained as a scientist in an Engineering faculty, graduating with a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics (Aeronautical Option) and, after an apprenticeship in the aircraft field, I moved into spacecraft component and system design and development. My science training was short on specifics and thorough on Science and Mathematics. It was also well suited, however, to helping move new Science into new practice, as well as helping determine the 'Right' questions to ask in any field of endeavor.
