About the Author: Author Shirley Hooper is a retired writer, drama teacher, and antiques dealer who resides in a circa 1850 farm house in rural Hunterdon County, New Jersey. A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, she has authored articles and light verse which have appeared in McCall's, Family Circle, New Jersey Monthly, Family Weekly, Parent's Magazine and others.
Illustrator Alison Hooper also graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University. She earned a master's degree in metal sculpture from Kean University. Alison is currently an art educator in Westfield, NJ. With a flair for the unusual, Alison specializes in colorful photographs, one of a kind metal sculptures, and unique home furnishing which have received numerous awards. Her work is on display throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, California, and Arizona.
