Das sechste Buch des Aṅguttara Nikāya, die Sammlung der nummerierten Reden des Buddha, versammelt 649 Suttas oder Reden, deren Inhalt sich fast immer um Gruppen von sechs Themen dreht.
Und ich sage fast immer, denn es gibt nicht viele Themen in den Texten der sechs Elemente, so viele sind gezwungenermaßen wie im Fall von Kapitel 11 Dreiklänge genannt, weil sie genau das sind, Dreiklänge. Und nun, da drei plus drei sechs ist... werden zwei Dreiklänge eingefügt und wir haben, angeblich, ein Sextett, das bereit ist, in das Buch der Sechser aufgenommen zu werden.
Aber wir werden auch sehen, dass sechs entsteht, wenn man eins zu fünf addiert, oder zwei zu einer Vierergruppe... In AN 6.29 spricht er die ganze Zeit von fünf Dingen und fügt am Ende noch eines hinzu, um die Sechs zu vervollständigen.
Obwohl dieses Buch auch Suttas enthält, die man lesen sollte, bleibt sein Inhalt, abgesehen von den letzten Matikas in den letzten Kapiteln, uninteressant. Es wird immer deutlicher, dass der Anguttara Nikaya seine Popularität auf seine traditionell schrecklichen Übersetzungen gründet, die den Leser dazu zwingen, Extrapolationen zu erfinden, die ihm helfen, abstruse Absätze zu überspringen, und die ihm den undefinierten mysteriösen Heiligenschein des Abstrakten verleihen.
Im Abschnitt der anekdotischen Suttas haben wir AN 6.42 mit der Nāgita. Darin wettert der Buddha gegen den Ruhm und seine Nachteile, wie z.B. die Schwierigkeit, in Ruhe scheißen oder pinkeln zu können, mit fünfhundert Anhängern, die nicht aufhören, einem überallhin zu folgen.
Das siebte Buch des Aṅguttara Nikāya, die Sammlung der nummerierten Reden des Buddha, versammelt 1124 Suttas oder Reden, deren Inhalt sich auf Gruppen von sieben Themen konzentriert.
Dieses Buch enthält zu lesende Suttas, lange Suttas mit Erklärungen, einige davon interessant. Dieses Buch ist frei von falschen Suttas.
Der Faden der Herrscher taucht in zwei Versionen auf, der traditionellen, in der sie mit Banditen, Bränden und Überschwemmungen verglichen werden, wie in AN 7.7 Mit Ugga, und einer beunruhigenderen Variante: in AN 7.53 Mutter von Nanda erscheinen die Herrscher als Entführer und Mörder ihres Sohnes.
Im Abschnitt über die vorgestellten Suttas finden wir dieses Mal mehr.
Von besonderer Bedeutung ist AN 7.19: Nibbāna. Hier werden die verschiedenen endgültigen Wege des Erlöschens erklärt.
AN 7.24, in dem die Arbeit der Bhikkhus als erste Ursache des Niedergangs angeprangert wird.
AN 7.44, in dem die verschiedenen Bewusstseinsebenen erklärt werden.
Die obige AN 7.53, bei der eine Laienspielerin die endgültige Leistung erreicht.
AN 7.66 Die sieben Sonnen, eine interessante Planetenkosmogonie.
AN 7.92 Ein Würdiger, in dem jede Art von Ritus oder Zeremonie als ein Irrglaube qualifiziert wird, der in der Lage ist, von Samsara zu befreien.
Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass die mühsame und erschöpfende Forschungs- und Rekonstruktionsarbeit der vergleichenden Sprachwissenschaft dieses Mal einige interessante Informationen zu liefern scheint.
