About the Book

When Einstein said that "The universe is not only weirder than we imagine, but weirder than we can imagine." he vastly underestimated its weirdness. Our senses are optimized, in conjunction with our brain, our awareness and consciousness, to have us survive as the Fear-driven Homo sapiens. Those limited senses have still allowed us to get to the point where we are ready to evolve into Homo spiritus, a Love-focused species. If we are to efficiently evolve into that new species, however, before we destroy the ability of this beautiful blue planet to support us, we are going to have to better understand the difference between what we think that we sense and the reality of this universe and planet. We are also going to have to quickly understand the distortions in what we have been told about Who we really are and Why we are here.In the early phases of our development, we implicitly understood, that we had many ways of 'seeing' the world around us, and that we had at least six senses that helped us 'see.' Some scientist who did not really understand the limitations inherent in Traditional Science have been telling us (for a few centuries now) that we are the result of random chance, are separate beings (not only from each other but from our universe) and that there is no purpose for our existing. The messages are coming from scientists who do not understand how little that they really know about the universe and about the founding assumptions of Traditional Science. They are seriously wrong! As very recent Science is now telling us, this is a universe of mostly empty space; even in solid objects like a solid block of iron. We do not see it that way because our brains tell us a different story. We sense through smell and taste only a small fraction of what other animals smell and taste. We hear a very small fraction of what can be heard and what other living creatures can hear. Our ability to sense what we are touching, including sensing temperature, is very rudimentary and does not give us a true picture of what is being touched. All of these limitations of our senses become more severe when we consider the sixth and other senses that have been ignored by Traditional Science, but few of us do now believe that we really can think and have thoughts, can feel and have emotions, can send out prayers that change the world and that pure information really does flow when components of living tissues work together. There are many bits of new knowledge that exist and will help us comprehend the reality of this universe. They can also help us understand Why we can let go of a great deal of false information as we move on to become the Love-focused creatures that will save our evolving species. The new 'us' can also help save much of life that we are now hell-bent to eradicate if it does not show an exorbitant profit.
About the Author: The author writes as Jesuis Laplume (from the French words 'je suis la plume' or 'I am the pen') on matters of Science and spirituality. I was trained as a scientist in an Engineering faculty, graduating with a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics (Aeronautical Option) and, after an apprenticeship in the aircraft field, moved into spacecraft component and system design and development. My Science training was short on specifics and thorough on Science and Mathematics. It was also well suited to helping move new Science into new practice, as well as helping determine the 'Right' questions to ask in any field of endeavor. After retirement I began studying what was going on at the leading edge of most Science fields and learned a lot from over a decade and a half of the studies of the local group, 'The Forum on Faith and Science.' I read widely on both the history of Science and the various fields of 'The New Spirituality, ' where some branches are trying to redevelop the initial messages of the old Religions and the new understandings of what pure information, thought, emotion and prayer / meditation could tell us about ourselves and our universe. I am developing a website at http: //www.jesuislaplume.com and have a large number of books and eBooks written or under consideration; as well as a Newsletter and set of Blog posts. Suggestions as to what readers would like to see next are welcomed. My primary purpose is to present the limitations of what we know and help readers better understand the questions that they should be asking about Who they really are and Why we are here having this journey as a human being. There is a great deal of misinformation being passed around, most of which is Fear-based rather than Love-based. Love is much more powerful than Fear and is the way we must go if we are to survive as a species. For more see the above websit
