Introduction
As the name "Thế Giới Tri Thức" (The World of Knowledge), in just a book of nearly 100 pages, readers are provided with a rich amount of knowledge from ancient to modern times, from east to west and in many different fields.
Maybe readers have read this information somewhere, but in this series of special books, the knowledge imparted will be imprinted in each person's memory because each content is illustrated with corresponding images.
Besides, because this book series is presented in a Vietnamese - English bilingual format, the reader's vocabulary is certainly greatly increased in a vivid visual way without having to look up a dictionary.
Moreover, we think that the knowledge in the book is suitable for different ages and levels, both reinforcing existing knowledge and adding new knowledge for each reader, especially pupils and students who need to improve their foreign languages in the current period of strong international integration of the country.
With the belief that "The World of Knowledge" will become a useful reference tool for many people, we respectfully introduce this special book series to readers.

Preface
"Thế Giới Tri Thức" (The World of Knowledge) is published for the purpose of providing knowledge about the fields related to life and social activities today.
Presented in a bilingual (Vietnamese - English) format, the book guides readers into each area of the knowledge world from ancient world civilizations to current achievements in Internet and Information Technology; from summarizing knowledge about the cultures of the world to understanding the manners and customs of countries on different continents.
With each topic summarized in one to four pages, accompanied by illustrations, the book systematizes the most basic knowledge about the issues raised.
With the goal of providing knowledge in all diverse areas of life, we try to collect, classify, compile and annotate the contents so that readers can easily access and grasp the issue.
The editorial board would like to receive enthusiastic encouragement as well as sincere suggestions from readers so that this special book series becomes a useful reference tool for readers.

Lời Ngỏ
Đúng như tên gọi "Thế giới tri thức", chỉ trong một tập sách gần 100 trang, người đọc được cung cấp một lượng kiến thức khá phong phú từ cổ chí kim, từ đông sang tây và trong nhiều lãnh vực khác nhau. Có thể độc giả đã đọc được những thông tin này ở đâu đó, nhưng trong tập sách chuyên đề này, các kiến thức được truyền tải sẽ in sâu vào bộ nhớ của từng người vì mỗi nội dung đều được minh họa bằng những hình ảnh tương ứng.
Bên cạnh đó, tập sách được trình bày dưới hình thức song ngữ Việt - Anh, chắc chắn vốn từ vựng của người đọc được tăng thêm rất nhiều bằng con đường trực quan sinh động mà không cần phải tra cứu từ điển. Hơn nữa, chúng tôi nghĩ rằng kiến thức trong tập sách phù hợp với nhiều lứa tuổi và trình độ khác nhau, vừa củng cố những hiểu biết đã có, vừa bổ sung thêm kiến thức mới cho từng độc giả, nhất là giới sinh viên, học sinh vốn đang cần trau dồi ngoại ngữ trong giai đoạn đất nước đang hội nhập quốc tế mạnh mẽ như hiện nay.
