About the Book

Downward communication is the best way to inform associates about the film company organization's goal and about changes faced by it. The reason is why downward communication is frequently deficient in this regard because this film company had been complained about personal conflict and department conflict during this movie began to produce. If this film company studio executive president who could attempt to enquire whether what Tom and Helen would encounter any conflicts before Helen decided to accept Tom to do this movie actor, I believe that their team co-operation could work more effectively.Secondly, the two teams' conflict had been occurred between market and design departments, it was due to design department felt that the sets and costumes did not match and colours clashed conflict due to market department did not discuss with design department before market department began to purchase materials. The problem between set design and wardrobe and those with the market department occurred because they lacked horizontal communication which takes place between associates at the same level, e.g. set design staff and wardrobe staffs would feel that the sets and costumes didn't match and some thought colours clashed at times and each group blamed the other, whether whose fault it is. It implied these departments had organizational barriers to effective communication, which included these problems existed to cause dissatisfaction and argument occurred in these two departments, e.g. work overload, noise, time pressures, breakdown in the communication network and team cooperation barriers. It also implied these departments had individual barriers to effective communication, e.g. status differences, consideration of self interest, lacking decision time, poor listening skills etc. Thus, these marketing department which ought need to contact design department to enquire whether what kinds of furniture design and colour which design department would accept, then their conflict would not influence Tom, actor who started t perform those job at the first day.Thirdly, the one group conflict had been occurred within makeup department, Later, makeup department staffs explained who were being asked to work unreasonable hours. The makeup staff claimed that who had an informal agreement with studio management about the hours they would work and that this agreement had been forced. This problem occurred that it implied this film company lacked enough makeup staffs to cause who being asked to work unreasonable hours and unreasonable salary and who felt this firm had been forced to them to choose to do overtime job because the makeup studio management had an informal agreement to demand them to do this overtime job. Finally, they felt makeup department manager refused their demand, so they would decide to complain studio office executive president directly.
