In der Bundesrepublik Deutschland sollte besonders das Problem zu hoher Arbeitslosigkeit mit Hilfe kollektiver Arrangements gelöst werden. Die Bundesregierung ist durch das Stabilitäts- und Wachstumsgesetz aus dem Jahr 1967 dazu verpflichtet politische Maßnahmen zu treffen, die das wirtschaftliche Gleichgewicht wieder herstellen und die Konjunktur fördern. Offizielle dreiseitige Konzertierungen sind bislang in Deutschland auf Bundesebene eine Rarität. Sie sind ausschließlich unter sozialdemokratischer Regierungsbeteiligung entstanden. Dies gilt sowohl für die Konzertierte Aktion von 1967 bis 1977 als auch für das Bündnis für Arbeit, Ausbildung und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit ab 1998. Beide waren wirtschaftspolitische Instrumente, um die vorhandenen Funktionsdefizite auszuschalten. Mit der Integration von Arbeitgeberverbänden, Gewerkschaften und Regierung in ein tripartisches und neokorporatistisches Modell, sollten Problemlösungsstrategien entwickelt werden, um die dringendsten ökonomischen Mängel in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland zu erfassen und zu beseitigen. Der Terminus Neokorporatismus meint die regelmäßige, verbindliche und instituionalisierte Beteiligung von Interessensverbänden am politischen Prozess in westlichen Demokratien. Der Begriff konzertierte Aktion bezeichnet die gemeinschaftliche Aktion verschiedener Interessensgruppen, die miteinander ein vereinbartes Ziel verfolgen. Im Rahmen dieser Hausarbeit soll der Frage nachgegangen werden, inwieweit sich die Konzertierte Aktion von 1967 bis 1977 von dem Bündnis für Arbeit, Ausbildung und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit von 1998 unterscheidet.
