About the Book

There are two forces in the world; the principalities and powers of darkness) the counterfeit representative of God) and the Word. The Word in physical form is Jesus Christ. He alone is the hope of the world; having paid the price for sin at the Cross. This book discusses the conflict between good and evil with the ultimate victory having already been earned on the Cross at Calvary. The victor: The Word. The tactics of the forces of darkness includes deception by the great propaganda machine: the mass media. The media, owned by billionaires caters to a false truth as hope exists only in Jesus Christ the Word!
About the Author: Dr. Ted Hallum was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on August 10, 1940, the first child of Doyle Hallum and Fern Louise Vaughn Hallum and attended Sapulpa Schools until the middle of his 10th grade year when his family moved to Tulsa and he entered Webster High School; graduating in 1958. He worked his way through college by working at a variety of jobs including summers at the Flint Steel Plant in West Tulsa. He has worked in Public Schools as teacher, coach, Dean, Principal, and Superintendent. He had lived in the Antelope Valley for 28 years before moving back to his hometown in Oklahoma. Known as Doyle to family and friends, he adjusted in the course of his life to Ted, Doc, and his professional title. He was born with hereditary hearing problems which he worked to overcome throughout his life and graduated from Northeastern Oklahoma State University with a B.A. Education; graduating later with a Masters in Education before entering St. Louis University's doctoral program in 1971; graduating in 1974. He enjoyed traveling throughout his life; spending much time in Europe on several trips in where he visited in Rome; Berlin, Potsdam, Dresden, and Munich, Germany; Brussels, Belgium; Amsterdam, Holland; London, Shannon, Ireland, in the British Isles; Zurich and Schaffhausen, Switzerland; Paris, France; Prague, in the Czech Republic and Vienna, Austria. That, along with multiple fishing trips off the coast of Mexico and travel in 30 states in the United States including Alaska and Hawaii. He twice drove the Alaskan Highway, with close friends, across western Canada to Anchorage and back. An avid reader, he read and researched several topics outside of his formal training; his favorite book was the Bible which he has read daily throughout his life as he never stopped his passion for education. He enjoyed reading in Philosophy, Military History, and working in 2-3 languages. He also completed extensive work on his parents Family Trees. Dr. Hallum has published 4 books to date and is working on two others. He attended 22 colleges and universities/Seminaries in the course of earning 6 degrees, including 3 earned doctorates. His biggest regret was in not studying ancient Hebrew and Greek. He often dreamed of entering Hebrew University in Jerusalem but never quite managed to reach that destination. Ted was selected four times as an I/D/E/A/ Fellow in a summer program funded by the Kettering Foundation and Graduated from the Colorado Outward Bound Mountain-climbing Practicum for Educators in 1976; where he ran his only lifetime marathon race at the end of the practicum and became also a member of the Chair Mountain Mountaineering Club. Ted retired from the Los Angeles Unified School District following a 40 year career during which he had worked in Illinois, Oklahoma, and California. He served after retirement as the honorary Chancellor of ISDET, the International School for Distance Education and Training located in Kerala, India.
