When sixteen-year-old Erica met Dan, a charming man several years older than she was, she agreed to go on a date with him. The evening culminated in rape. But even though a police officer found them, Erica didn't tell him the sex was not consensual. She wanted the whole thing behind her and the pain and humiliation to go away.
Such a story is familiar to many women. Often they feel guilty, that they themselves are at fault, and yearn for the love and safety they knew before. But as this compilation of inspirational real-life stories attests, no woman who suffers-whether from rape, infertility, abuse, or health problems-is alone in her grief. God sees every woman's pain, and he wants to heal it-just as he did for Erica.
Erica's journey was difficult. People sometimes doubted her account of what happened; even her father blamed her for the rape. But Erica's Heavenly Father never gave up on her.
Take heart as Erica and other women share their trials and their journeys to Christ, and come to experience the unconditional love and healing that God extends to all his children-no matter how hard the road they've traveled.
