The children are being adopted and Miss Hargrove is to teach school. The first night away from the orphanage, there is an attempt to abduct Viola and the children. Viola decides she must not trust anyone not even Jackson their guide. After weeks on the trail, Viola's knows she must reconsider her opinion of Jackson if she and her wards are to reach Colorado safely. She is surprised when her heart tells her it is the right thing to do. A Wife for Christmas: Love with the right man can change hopelessness into joy. Olivia Boone believes there is no hope until she stumbles into Gabe Roberts' cabin and rediscovers the joy of Christmas. Seven year old Johnny Roberts has asked Santa Clause to bring him an Angel for Christmas. With her blond hair and brown eyes, Olivia fits Johnny's idea of how an Angel should look and pleads with her not leave. Though Olivia does not confided her heartache or the reason she ran away, Gabe asks her to become his wife in name only but soon discovers his mistake. He has never been attracted to a woman the way he is attracted to Olivia. Even in the coldest of winters, it is never too late for love to bloom. Bride of Dutch Flats: One of the six McAllister brothers needs to marry before they all starved. Not a one of them knows how to cook or do much of anything around the house. Tyrus, the youngest brother, decides he is the one to make the sacrifice and asks Peggy Ann Knoll to be his wife. Peggy Ann has one condition before accepting. She wants a house where she can get away from the six smelly McAllister males. Tyrus wonders if Peggy Ann includes him in the smelly males. Only time will tell if he can persuade Peggy Ann he wants a wife and not just someone to cook and clean.
