It's 2021, the year after the Great America pandemic called coronavirus AKA COVID-19. Many people were anxious for 2020 to be over, hoping 2021 would come through with greater hope in our society. However, so far there is not much difference the pandemic is still here, most are still required to wear masks, and many have experienced an uprising in COVID-19 cases.
COVID-19 crept into my home, my husband was sick for 21 days, we had to quarantine in the house. I stayed in the guest room and used the front of the house, while he stayed in the master bedroom. During this time the Lord spoke to me a word for this year that word is perseverance. I recall saying in response, OK Lord, I hear you. But at the same time, it was not quite clear about his underlying thought for this word. Therefore, I allowed the Lord, to bring clarification and intent to the message he was speaking to me.
One month later February 1st, 2021, he unveiled directions to me. He said, "Daughter write a 31-day consecration devotional to walk My people through the journey of pursuing Me and My will."
The dictionary defines perseverance as steady, persistence in a course of action, or a state, etc., especially in difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement. In theology, perseverance means continuous in a statue of grace to the end, leading to eternal salvation. Persistence is to continue steadfastly or firm in some state or purpose, course of action. The purpose is the reason in which something exists or is done. These three words in totality define how we will pursue God in this 31-day journey. We want to be so connected with Him that we become unmovable from Him regardless of what happens in this world.
How fascinating! So, what does that mean for us in the next 31 days? We will walk through this journey consecrating ourselves to the Lord "Women Pursuing God with perseverance, persistence, and purpose". This 31-Day Journey will assist us in our personal pursuit to persevere towards the will of God for our lives. Enjoy the journey through each "Pet P" word of the day.
