In the words of Dr. Ervin Laszlo: "Women of the New Paradigm are women who are urgently needed to create a viable, sustainable, and flourishing world for the human species. The reason for this claim can be briefly stated. We are on the threshold of a new era in the adventurous history of the human species on this planet. We have colonized almost all livable spaces and are tapping almost all readily available natural resources. Further improvements in these areas are limited, except for the possibilities of tapping solar and vacuum energies. The requirement now is not the access and accumulation of more physical resources, but the proper, human and humane use of those resources. We need to insert feminine values and capabilities to balance masculine values and capabilities. The former are underexploited, and the latter are overused. But what are these urgently needed feminine capabilities? They are those that women have always brought to the human world: The capability to create family, and community, with effective solidarity based on empathy. The masculine capabilities for exploring, conquering, and gathering need to be balanced by the feminine capabilities of community-building. Today we do not have a global community; we only have a global system of diverse, competing and often conflicting elements in urgent need of being built into a community. We need phenomenal women - like those celebrated in this book. This does not mean just women in leadership roles. A leadership role in today's world selects for masculine capabilities: Aggressiveness, oriented toward "winning" - toward conquest. When women fill such roles, they espouse masculine capabilities: they are then female bodies with male powers. Women of the New Paradigm are truly women: Individuals who bring the power not of conquest but community to this world. All of us, men and women, can be grateful to Mirela Sula and her Global Woman enterprise for bringing forward such phenomenal global women. Our future could well depend on the success of this enterprise".The concept for this book evolved from the vision of Mirela Sula, starting with Global Woman magazine in May 2015, and then branching out to events and Global Woman Club networking breakfasts, growing in more locations around the world. Since then, Mirela has become good friends with Dr. Ervin Laszlo, and through being part of a TV documentary for PBS about his incredible life, produced by Dara Boone, it led to the idea of making a TV documentary around ten phenomenal women in Hollywood. Eleven when you count Mirela Sula! And then the book, Women of the New Paradigm. In this book, you will find eleven great examples that chime with this. They also represent a broad spectrum, that while on the one hand may seem very different, they share much in common. Leadership, financial freedom, spirituality, consciousness, and wellbeing are all connected in empowering women. You will see that for many, it has not been an easy journey, or not without major events that were a turning point in their life. Often it is a story of triumph over adversity, and to take a quote from Robbie Mathews in her chapter: "Your past does not have to determine your future." You will see many examples that demonstrate this, and you will either be empathizing and resonating with them, or inspired with hope and determination to overcome any barrier, challenge or adversity you face, to reach a much better place.
