Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich BWL - Allgemeines, Note: 2, Johannes Kepler Universität Linz (Wissensmanagement), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In den letzten Jahren hat das Wissensmanagement zunehmend an Bedeutung gewonnen. Wissen wird immer häufiger als essentielle Ressource und wesentlicher Erfolgsfaktor im allgemeinen Unternehmenskontext wahrgenommen. Während noch vor einigen Jahren unter Wissensmanagement "der Prozess des Erarbeitens und Verteilens expliziten Wissens" verstanden wurde, versucht man heute auch die implizite Seite des Wissens und seine "innere Dimension" zu berücksichtigen. So soll es ermöglicht werden, Wissen zu managen, Wissensprozesse zu gestalten und Wissen zu kommunizieren. Infolgedessen kann Wissensmanagement der Innovation in einer Organisation förderlich sein, wenn ein kreativitätsförderndes Umfeld geschaffen wird, in dem Kommunikation und Lernen befürwortet wird. Dementsprechend wird im Zuge der Seminararbeit neben den theoretischen Rahmenbedingungen auch eine Anpassung der Unternehmenskultur diskutiert werden. Der Terminus Innovation stammt vom lateinischen Wort "Innovation" ab und bedeutet sinngemäß "Neuerung", "Erneuerung" oder "Veränderung". In die Wirtschaftswissenschaften wurde die Bezeichnung erstmals von Joseph Schumpeter eingeführt. Schumpeter definierte Innovation als "the doing of new things or the doing of things that are already done, in a new way", wobei bei ihm erst die tatsächliche Umsetzung neuer Kombinationen und nicht bereits die Idee oder Erfindung selbst als Innovation gilt. Allerdings liegt bislang keine geschlossene und einheitliche Begriffsdefinition zu Innovation vor. Jedoch, sind sich alle Definitionsversuche einig, dass es sich bei Innovation um (1) eine Neuheit oder (Er-)Neuerung eines Gegenstands oder einer soziale Handlungsweise handelt und (2) eine Veränderung beziehungsweise ein Wechsel durch die Innovation erfolgt.
