About the Author: Gregory Lee Schroer is a scientist, adventurer, artist, and certified yoga instructor. His experience includes working as a natural resources scientist and manager for the National Park Service and National Forest Service. He also owned and managed a private environmental consulting firm, which included living and working on small islands of the western Pacific.
Schroer holds a BS and an MS in natural resources management, focusing on forest and wildlife ecology. He travels extensively in search of interesting landscapes, people, culture, and history. Appreciation for the integrity and inspiration of natural ecosystems and rural communities has been one of his life's core values.
