Diese bringen jedoch einige Problematiken mit sich, welche näher begutachtet werden sollten. Eine Wechselwirkung zwischen Verpackung und Packgut ist unabwendbar, weswegen diese möglichst minimiert werden sollte. Es besteht die Möglichkeit eines Stoffübergangs von der Lebensmittelverpackung, wobei gesundheitsgefährdende Stoffe wie beispielsweise Weichmacher, Mineralölrückstände oder Photoinitiatoren in die Lebensmittel übergehen. Aktuell gibt es noch keine ökologisch unbedenkliche und ökonomisch günstige Lösung, um eine funktionelle Barriere zu schaffen, die die sogenannten Phthalate vom Stoffübergang einer Faserstoffverpackung hindert. Folglich werden komplexe Technologien und zusätzliche Packmittel eingesetzt, um die Migrationsaktivität möglichst gering zu halten. Dies zieht jedoch ein erhöhtes Müllaufkommen und hohe energetische Kosten nach sich. In diesern Bachelorarbeit wird die Wirkungsweise einer Titandioxid-Dünnschicht aus dem Sol-Gel-Prozess gegenüber DEHP (Bis(2-ethylhexylphthalat)) untersucht. Diese Dünnschichten wurden mittels Sprühen, Rakeln und Drucken auf Frischfaserkartonagen aufgetragen und anschließend mit DEHP gespiked. Die Proben wurden mit der Lebensmittelsimulanz TENAX(R) bei 40°C und einer Kontaktzeit von sieben Tagen differenziert, wobei die migrierte Menge an DEHP bei Proben mit und ohne Beschichtung verglichen wurde. Um die übergegangene Menge transparent darzustellen, wurde das TENAX(R) mit dem Lösemittel Cyclohexan extrahiert, anschließend filtriert und mit einem GC-MS untersucht. Im Vergleich zu den Referenzproben zeigte sich eine deutliche Reduktion der migrierten Menge an DEHP. Die Sprühbeschichtungen wiesen, gefolgt von den flexobedruckten Proben, weitaus
