Dabei beschreibt der Begriff in der Kommunikationswissenschaft die immer stärkere Anpassung von Kommunikation an die Erfolgsbedingungen der Medien mit dem Ziel, die bestmögliche Grundlage für die Verbreitung seiner Botschaft zu schaffen. Für große Organisationen sowie andere medienabhängige Akteure hat sich diese Strategie der öffentlichen Kommunikation erfolgreich bewährt und mit der Zeit fest etabliert. So ist es keine unerwartete Entwicklung, dass die Medialisierung auch im Bereich der sozialen Protestbewegungen immer populärer wurde und dadurch nicht nur bei großen Aktivismus-Organisationen zu beobachten ist. Ein weiterer wichtiger Aspekt ist der Grad der Mediatisierung, wodurch sich zwangsläufig auch die mediale Form der Protestkommunikation gewandelt hat und stärker denn je den digitalen Kanälen angepasst ist. Die Mediatisierung selbst beschreibt dabei den Prozess der durch medientechnische Entwicklung entste-henden Veränderungen. Dies hat zur Folge, dass die bisher bekannten Formen der Protestkommunikation, wie beispielsweise aufwendig inszenierte Bildereignisse für journalistische Medien, durch neue Medienformen erweitert oder ersetzt werden. Eine bespielhafte Aktion ist die Produktion und Veröffentlichung des Videos "Safari" auf verschiedenen sozialen Internetmedien. Sie bildet somit den zentralen Untersuchungsgegenstand dieser Hausarbeit. Um das Video hinsichtlich seiner wirkenden Mittel analysieren zu können, wird das Video formal beschrieben und zunächst ein Überblick über existierende Humortheorien geschaffen. Das Medienprodukt kann somit einer Humorart zugeordnet und besser interpretiert werden. Desweiteren wird die psychologische Sichtweise auf Humor und die Konzepte der Humortheorien aufeinand
