About the Book

Wings of Poesy is textbook for undergraduate students of the Nagaland University in the newly introduced semester system from the year 2012. This anthology is meant to expose the students to poetic outpourings in English which are reflective of universal values across time and cultures. Thus the poems represent various poetic traditions of Africa, America, Australia, Britain, Canada, Carribbean and India. Poems from the North-east of India have also been included in this book. Biographical notes on the poets, explanatory notes, and summaries are aspects which add value to Wings of Poesy and make it a handy book for students.
