About the Book

Winds of Promise is the third book in a series about twin sisters who are dramatically unlike in practical and spiritual matters but together face their loves and losses, challenges and triumphs, families and career paths. Poppy Keane is the heroine and the privileged and naive stepdaughter of Deirdre, (metaphysical, sexy heroine of Waves of Deception). She invites deceitful dangerous Devon to her new apartment. Logical consequences alter everyone's life, when Devon hurts Poppy and gets away with it. He disappears and reappears repeatedly-terrifying Poppy. Greg Price, cowboy falconer, stepson of Deirdre's twin Suzanne, (Christian heroine of The Wind Remembers), befriends and supports her crush on Cloud Carlisle. Cloud is the Paiute/Apache son of Cosma, Paiute shaman, (a constant spiritual guide and friend to the twins in all three novels), wife of Johnny Carlisle (falconer). A Marine sent to fight in Afghanistan, Cloud's challenges impact Poppy and all three families. Of necessity and epiphany, working on an assisted-therapy Rescue Ranch for people and wild mustangs, Poppy evolves from being fearful, willful and untrusting to become a strong, caring and take-charge woman. She painfully learns the difference between the illusion of love and the real thing.
