About the Book

THE STORY THAT HAS NEVER BEEN TOLD! Even rarer than the appearance of Halley's Comet in the year 1066 A.D. was the appearance of three undefeated warrior kings that same year. All three of these warrior kings felt that they had a claim to the British crown, and all three were intrepid fighters who were well known for never taking a step backward. For this reason 1066 was a historical year unlike any other. Normandy's William the Conqueror is one of the most dashing, powerful, and massively influential figures in all of world history. Equally fascinating is Harold Godwinson, crowned King Harold II of England in January of 1066. Norway's Haarald (Hard Rule) Hardrada, the incomparable Viking warrior king, also played a central role in the destiny of the world in that amazing year. These two historical giants, William and Harold, became the greatest of friends -- and the worst of enemies. Caught in the middle of this raging storm that resulted in The Battle of Hastings was Princess Adelize, the young and beautiful daughter of William, and the devoted fiancé of King Harold II. Humor! Heart! History! These are the three words that define this historical saga that is written in the style of an Arthurian adventure novel. "I have boundless admiration for these historical figures whose feats and sacrifices were second to none in world history, and aspired for all I am worth and stand for in this life to bring to the reader their timeless story in a manner that the reader would find both informative and entertaining. That is why I wrote this book." Jesse Lee Vint III
About the Author: Jesse Lee Vint III was born and raised in Tulsa. Always in search of adventure he decided that the film business is where he should be, so he left to study acting while still in college. After over a hundred films and television shows he moved to Portland, Oregon - where he currently lives. Some of the characters he played were gunfighters during the Wild West era, such as "Tulsa Jack" and "Charlie Springer" - both of these were starring parts in television shows with James Garner. He played the outlaw "Bob Dalton" in the television movie "Belle Starr; a lead role as "Amos Calendar", one of the original cowboys on the Goodnight trail in 1868 in Universal Studio's epic mini-series based on James Michener's classic novel, "Centennial". He also starred as "Insane Wayne", the mercenary who tried to take out the "A-Team". The name of the episode was "Insane Wayne". He was an astronaut in the futuristic films "Silent Running", and "Forbidden World". Jesse Vint played one of the major characters in the epic film "Little Big Man" with Dustin Hoffman -- about 'Custer's last stand'. He and his brother Alan starred in the film MACON COUNTY LINE, which broke box office records throughout America and Europe. He also played principal parts in the film classics, "Chinatown" and "Earthquake." He won the World Celebrity Chess Championship at the Century Plaza in Los Angeles in 1988 -- and is still the reigning champion. Jesse votes on and attends the Academy Awards and the Emmy's every year.
