Rosie's curiosity to know more about herself sends her to Dublin in search of what she saw in a dream.
She finds something there. And also, something she did not bargain for. A body guard. And the prospect of death.Along the way, she has to balance between actualizing the full manifestation of who she is, and the truth about the things that spring between her and the bodyguard, while death follows her at the tail.
Rosie cast one more glance at the man. He had his sights buried into the newspaper in his hands. He seemed unconcerned to the activity of the café around him. She still felt the sense of familiarity nag at her from inside, but she decided to back down. Vanessa could very well be right.
Rosie flicked her eyes away from him, only for them to fall on another man. This one she felt she had never seen. She noticed how severely good looking he was. Like drills, her eyes bored into the man. Picking out his mahogany brown hair, and his... the man had looked up at that moment, and had caught Rosie's stare. Rosie felt heat rise to her cheeks. He had bright, ocean green eyes. He smiled at her. Rosie's heart beat like the fluttering wings of the hummingbird. She quickly looked back to her cards. When she looked back up again, the man was gone.
"Where'd he go?" she asked.
"Who?" Vanessa asked.
"The man sitting at that corner." Rosie said, pointing with a finger. Vanessa turned to where Rosie pointed, and turned back to face Rosie.
"I don't see anyone." She said.
"That's why I'm asking. He was there a moment ago. I just took my eyes off him for a second, and when I looked back up, he was... just... gone."
Vanessa chuckled.
"So, our Rosie, is finally beginning to make a hit, eh?"
"Come on, Nessa." Rosie rolled her eyes. "I just noticed another stranger."
"What's with you and noticing strangers?" Vanessa asked.
"Me? Nothing. I mean, the whole village hasn't noticed them already, right?"
