Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2020 im Fachbereich Kulturwissenschaften - Sonstiges, Note: 1,7, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Jahr 1900 wurde vom Begründer der Psychoanalyse Sigmund Freud unter dem Titel "Die Traumdeutung" eines der umfangreichsten und komplexesten Werke veröffentlicht. Ungefähr zur selben Zeit hat die Erfindung des Mediums Film ihren Ursprung. Kurz nach der Entwicklung dieser neuen Kunstform sind bereits mehrere Filme über Träume entstanden, zum Beispiel die avantgardistischen französischen Filme der 1920er-Jahre. Obwohl sich die Kunst auch davor mit der Abbildung der Träume beschäftigt hatte, schien der Film für die Abbildung innerer Realität prädestiniert zu sein. Seit mehr als hundert Jahren experimentieren die Filmemacher und Filmemacherinnen mit Kamerabewegungen, Ton, Montagetechniken usw., um die Traumphänomene nachzuahmen und die Konzepte von Zeit und Raum zu hinterfragen. Es entstand eine spannende Beobachtung: Die beiden Konzepte von Film und Traum weisen Unterkategorien auf, die eine düstere und bedrohliche Atmosphäre erschaffen: den Horrorfilm und den Alptraum. Bei der allgemeinen Auseinandersetzung mit diesen Begriffen ist zu folgenden Schlussfolgerungen gekommen: Die erste, allgemeine Gemeinsamkeit dieser "dunklen" Begriffe besteht in der Verbindung mit tiefen psychischen Prozessen und dem Spiel mit negativ konnotierten Gefühlen, die zweite bezieht sich auf die bildliche Sprache, die sowohl in den Träumen generell als auch im audiovisuellen Filmmedium ihren Platz findet. Das Ziel der Arbeit besteht im Allgemeinen darin, die Verbindungen der großen Kategorien des Alptraums, des Films und der klassischen Freud'schen Psychoanalyse anhand dieser drei Filme zu verfolgen. Dabei handelt es sich um die doppelte Wahrnehmung: Erstens wird betrachtet, wie die Charaktere den Alptraum erleben und wie er sich anhand ihrer Stellung mithilfe von Freud'schen psychoanalytischen und/oder kulturwissenschaftlichen Theorien
