Hierzu gibt es zwei Forschungsfragen: Welche Rolle nimmt dabei die Körperkommunikation, in Bezug auf Zeigen von Emotionenund Bewältigung von Konflikten, ein? Wie erfolgt Sprachentwicklung bei Kindern mit Down Syndrom und wie kann dieGebärdensprache dabei unterstützen? Bei den oben genannten Forschungsfragen werden drei große Bereiche behandelt. Dazu zählen die Sprachentwicklung, welche die Gebärden-unterstützte Kommunikation beinhaltet und die Körperkommunikation. Um diese Fragestellungen zu beantworten, wählte der Autor eine qualitative Methode, nämlich die des ExpertInneninterviews. Herr X, ein Mitarbeiter des Down-Syndrom Zentrums X, war bereit mir mehr Auskunft über die Einrichtung, sowie über die Arbeit mit Kindern und Menschen mit Down-Syndrom zu erzählen. Der Autor möchte mit dieser Arbeit nicht nur Unterschiede aufzeigen, sondern auch die Besonderheiten in Bezug auf Menschen mit Down-Syndrom hervorheben. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit besteht darin Fragen zu klären, die sich damit beschäftigen, wie Kinder mit Down-Syndrom bestmöglich gefördert werden können in Hinblick auf Integration und Sprache. Im ersten Teil dieser Arbeit wird Grundlegendes über das Down-Syndrom aufgegriffen, um einen Überblick über die Thematik zu schaffen. Im nächsten Kapitel liegt der Fokus auf der Körperkommunikation. Das Kapitel beschreibt zu Beginn generelle körpersprachliche Kommunikationen. Des Weiteren widme ich mich hier dem Zeigen von Emotionen und der Bewältigung von Konflikten bei Kindern mit Down-Syndrom, sowie dem Schlagwort LOVT - dem lösungsorientierten Verhaltenstraining.
