Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2019 im Fachbereich Museumswissenschaft, Museologie, Note: 1,7, Universität Potsdam (Institut für Erziehungswissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Museen im Kontext Schule, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Thema dieser Hausarbeit liegt in der Herausarbeitung der verschiedenen Herausforderungen, denen sich ein Museum heutzutage hinsichtlich seiner Besuchergewinne stellen muss. Auf dieser Basis werden im Anschluss am ausgewählten Fallbeispiel, der Gedenkstätte Deutscher Widerstand, jene Wege und Möglichkeiten erörtert. Daher gehe ich zunächst auf die prägnantesten Herausforderungen, wie Wettbewerb, Finanzen, Zielgruppenerweiterung und neue Technologien, ein. Anschließend werde ich die Gedenkstätte Deutscher Widerstand und ihr Leitbild kurz zusammenfassen, damit ein Blick für die Thematik und ein Kontext für das weitere Verständnis geschaffen werden kann. Der größte Teil dieser Arbeit, der Dritte, beschäftigt sich direkt mit der Gedenkstätte Deutscher Widerstand und dessen Wege und Möglichkeiten Besucherinnen und Besucher zu gewinnen. Dafür habe ich mit der Gedenkstätte persönlich gesprochen, um einen tieferen und detaillierteren Einblick in ihr Vorgehen zu erhalten. Abschließend werden die Ergebnisse zu der untersuchten Fragestellung zusammengetragen und in einem Fazit beurteilt. Als Literaturgrundlage diente das Werk "Museen und ihre Besucher. Herausforderungen in der Zukunft", veröffentlicht von dem Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Hauptsache Publikum? Hauptsache Besucher? Es ist bekannt, dass ein Museum von seinen Besuchern lebt. Was wäre ein Museum oder eine Gedenkstätte ohne Besucher? Ohne jene interessierten Menschen, die neues Wissen aufbauen wollen oder ihr bisheriges erweitern? Doch in der heutigen Zeit, in der man nicht mehr ins Museum gehen muss, um etwas über den Holocaust oder den Zweiten Weltkrieg zu erfahren, sondern einfach im Internet zahlreiche und ausführliche Antworten bekommt, stellt sich die Frage: Warum noc
