About the Book

The title Why should I care was conjured when the character known as Hyperthymesia described throughout the story was said to have been under the spell of not one, but several indescribable nightmares. The words penned were written to describe Hyperthymesia, and later renamed Et Perfecta. The story was written as a memoir to inform the caretakers of his home that the medical institution where he was forced to reside was not entirely a pleasant place. Flashbacks were constant. Dreams were often responsible for his wayward personality. And, it is here, that Et Perfecta, realized he should write about his life. The story begins as if the character was talking directly to a listener reading what was believed to be a confession. Examples of events are said and retold without clarity. As you read the words penned, you will notice how his examples are not said or retold in a chronological order. Most of the events described throughout his memoir were contradictory and inconsistent to his original argument. The character was later renamed Prolix, and it was the name that stuck for the remaining pages of the book to describe an overanxious, complex and confused person. Much of the story was expressed with a babbling tongue that said much about everything and anything associated with the life of Prolix. His reason to author his feelings were seen as off the wall, and mind-boggling. The more Prolix wrote about his life, the more irrational the story. Every word said to the listener was said as if the story were a dream. Multiple personalities emerged. Unconvincing blame was difficult to describe. Prolix tried his best to tell his story from a perspective that was, according to his other self, a narration that was written with an indescribable anger. The character is a difficult read. A deeply angered person was determined to tell the listener why is who he is. As you become acquainted with a story associated with a person deemed incompetent, and emotionally unstable, you will notice that there are three separate stories. Each story written is said in a particular way to show a different personality of the person identified as Prolix. The first story is the entire account. The second story is the boldface letters. And, the third account, is the traditional font. The
memoir was written with typos to describe the personality of a person experiencing not only a limited knowledge of
education, and oratory skills, but also, an unsophisticated personality that lacked the needed understanding to
communicate with an unapologetic listener. Why should I care, is an intensely lyrical song of words. The author wrote
Why Should I care to show how a person suffering from an indescribable personality disorder would sound if given the
chance. The style of writing was written by design and should not be considered incorrect. The story and the character is fiction.

Author

The author traveled from an indescribable upbringing where he had to contend with bullies, an abusive family, and a society of people experiencing an altered mental status. As he wandered away from his days at Brown University, Johnson and Wales University, and as he journeyed toward the military responsibilities often associated with a soldier, he documented observations with people. After dedicating his young life to a tour of duty, he decided it would be best if he entered the political environement. For almost two decades the author of 'Why should I care' committed mant hours of his private life to the political system. But the endeavor would not last for long. In 2006, he decided his days of agitating for social change amd equal justice was, for many reasons, no-longer approachable. But that was not true. It seemed he had one last battle to win. Since 1989, he had worked at several medical institutions where he was determined to make a difference. Today the author works on a stroke unit at a hospital located in Providence.
