About the Book

The purpose of this book is to help provide answers to the question, "Why do bad things happen to God's people." It is our prayer that this book will also provide hope and encouragement to individuals and families who have been affected by some of life's painful experiences.____________Our family has been serving the Lord for more than fifty years, and in spite of that, we have had more than our share of pain and suffering. There are very few trials, hurts, or problems people can face that our family has not already faced. We have had financial problems, health problems, social problems, moral problems, suicides, and premature death. You name it and the Keith family and their relatives have "been there, done that, and got their T-shirts." We do know a little about this subject. It is our prayer that these experiences will help you.
About the Author: Gene Keith was born William Eugene Keith in Tarpon Springs, Florida, on December 25, 1932. ministry in 1953. Gene Keith is part of a ten generation legacy of pioneer Christian leaders from Kentucky, Texas, and Florida. Since 1773 when John Keith hosted the first meeting of Virginia's Ten Mile Baptist Church, the Keith men for at least ten generations have led their congregations as Baptist preachers, elders or deacons, to be pioneers in sharing the Gospel. By wagon, on horseback, on foot, and by car, they've traveled carrying the Good News of Christ from the thick forests of Virginia, across the green mountains of Kentucky, to the High Plains of Texas before finally turning back southeast to settle in sun-drenched Central Florida where three generations now pastor two churches just 20 miles apart. Gene has many years experience in broadcasting, not only as a "DJ," but including his own daily "talk show" type program known as "The Sound of Inspiration," which was popular on several radio stations in North Central Florida. He had an afternoon "show" on the first FM Country Music station in Gainesville. Gene attended Stetson University, the University of Florida, and received his BA Luther Rice. He has many years experience in the Christian School movement. He is the founder of the Countryside Christian School which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2014. He has experience as a pastor and a Christian School Principal. Gene also served as a Consultant Field Representative for Accelerated Christian Education, during which time he helped establish a number of Christian Schools in Florida. Many of his family are involved in education serving as Principals and teachers. Gene retired after 50 plus years in the ministry and is presently Pastor Emeritus of the Countryside Baptist Church of Gainesville, Florida. Gene turned 81 on Christmas day 2013 and spends most of his time writing and speaking. Gene has several books already available and several in the process. His books are available, both in Kindle format and in print. To locate Genes's books, simply go to Goggle and type in "Gene Keith Books" and you will be directed to these sites.
