About the Book

Who's Guarding the House, Volume 1, is a workshop inspired book designed to shift the mentality of those who serve in various positions, in the house of the Lord. During this study, we go well beyond the placement of servants and explore the posture and position of those called to serve in the local congregation. My primary goal is to get the servant and the servant leaders to focus more on the importance of representing the Kingdom of God, through servitude. An excellent spirit and an appropriate attitude must be developed in order to effectively represent that the place where you serve, is in fact the house of God. Volume 1 intricately deals with the servant's prayer life and other character attributes of those who serve. In order to serve, as a Kingdom representative, your service and life must be grounded in prayer and led by Holy Spirit. One thing that is very relevant in Who's Guarding the House and I pray no one misses it; is that you cannot serve without love and compassion. You must first love the Lord, the people of God and the leaders under which you serve. Serving from a heart of compassion exemplifies the mind, will and the essence of who Christ is. He is God in the flesh. Therefore, we must represent the Father, as Christ in the earth. Our service must not be the opposite of God's character or His love. If you are in a servant leader's position, you will always be the first representation of your church to members and visitors; to those seeking salvation, you will be the first representation of Christ; and to all who enter that house, you will be the ultimate representation of your Senior Pastor. Most people will assume that if you're in a servant position, then your Pastor has fully vetted you for that position and you now represent his or her heart and vision for the church and congregation. Be sure you don't misrepresent your leader and be the cause of the church not growing. God will take serious issue with you for turning people away from Him, because of your attitude and because you are in a position to serve, but you don't like to follow orders. Your first commandment or order is to do everything you do in love. Serving in the Kingdom of God, requires that you be mentally, physically, emotionally and most certainly, spiritually available to fulfill the task(s) for which you have undertaken. Inside this book, you will learn the in depths of serving from a Kingdom perspective and not just working in the church. This book will certainly revolutionize the way you approach serving. However, it may also cause some Senior Pastors to reconsider some of these people they have in positions dealing directly with the flock. Who should read this book? All current and incoming servant leaders, altar workers, greeters, intercessors, armor bearers, hospitality workers, ministers, elders, deacons and etc. should read this book. Also, anyone who desires to join the ministry of serving, in any capacity, should read this book. Certainly, if you have a heart to serve the Body of Christ and the leadership of the local church, this book is your bible for serving. You are there to serve the Lord, the people and your Senior Leaders. Your ultimate goal is to see souls saved and added to the church, so says the scriptures. You are not there to promote your own agendas, ideas or plans. Everyone who serves must be subject to those in authority and you must have a genuine desire to see the church or ministry grow. Volume two and Volume three will complete this workshop on serving in the House of the Lord. Make sure you get all three volumes, as they become available. Also, a workbook will accompany these three volumes. By the time you have completed the entire workshop; my prayer is that your spirit and mentality is shifted from just seeing yourself as a church worker to realizing that you are a Kingdom servant.
