This book project, which I was privileged to complete, is an end result of years of continuous research, quest for facts, and gathering of accurate events and details that took significant efforts and study. The Whole Truth About Islam is a comprehensive book about the Islamic faith, it is written specifically for individuals who don't have any knowledge of the religion in a very simple manner which is closer to the western way of thinking so it could be more understandable, it could also constitute a great textbook for students and institutions. It will familiarize the public with a lot of misunderstood and controversial issues affiliated with the religion and public perception and will be a great and reliability of information for anyone who is seeking knowledge or have any inquiries. I had faced all controversial issues head on, some of those issues include why do Muslim women conceal their bodies from head to toe, the subject of men marrying several wives, and also the most controversial issue that is spoken about most commonly in the media or is discussed in the political arenas which is "Jihad," I've spoken of those subjects thoroughly, accurately, and with complete knowledge and view of Islam, To complete this project I've conducted intensive research and had meetings with many scholars of different faiths to ensure accuracy and authenticity of the entire historical context and all the narrations to ensure the integrity of the facts presented in the material. In addition, I gave my utmost effort to keep the richness of the text and not to lose any of that in the translation process especially when I used segments of Prophet Muhammad's narrations or verses from the Quran. I truly and deeply believe in this book and wish to share it with the public. I've titled my book "The Whole Truth about Islam," that reflects what I had stored in mind of presenting the facts without any confusion and the way they were initially intended to be without any exaggerations or beating around the bush. I've divided my book into two parts which can't be isolated from each other; the first part was the history of Islam and the second part was a discussion of why Muslims do what they do including all controversial and sensitive issues. After going through the entire this journey you will get the whole picture with no stones unturned. Enjoy the book!
About the Author: My name is Mo Natour, an author, a scholar, entrepreneur, and activist. I believe in the basic God given rights for all humans such as the freedom of choice and expression. One of the most important choices that we as people make is how to communicate with our Creator and the freedom to choose our own religious beliefs and values without any fear of persecution, intimidations, or violation of one's dignity or way of life. As an American who has been living in this great country most of my life my family and I have enjoyed the liberties and the values this country of ours has to offer. In the forefront of these privileges is to express our mind and to be able to speak without the fear of someone snooping and looking over one's shoulder or late night unwanted visits by the scavengers of darkness. I came to this country thirty six years ago after high school seeking good education and to pursue my dreams of becoming a doctor or an engineer. I started by going to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville but unfortunately I wasn't able to continue due to financial constrains and the inability of my poor-stricken parents to pay for my education. I was forced to quit school and work in different unrelated jobs to survive, but I never forgot my dream. Ten years after was able to enroll myself back through college and in three years I was able to graduate with a bachelor in Mechanical engineering from the New Jersey institute of technology in 1995. After that I had a long successful engineering career and have had made numerous signature designs for oil companies, automotive industry, and material handling plants. Throughout the years I have done extensive searches in history, religion, science, engineering, psychology, and theatre. I also served on board of religious institutions and scholarly committees here and abroad, as I did in this book and others my writing has been characterized as bold, unwavering, and sometimes even politically incorrect and for that I apologize to no one. I believe in speaking someone's mind bravely and without fear not to sacrifice beliefs, values, or principles. It is a rule that I went by all my life and also something that I raised my children to follow. I am also married to a wonderful wife and have beautiful five children.
