His pursuit is to do all that he is able to protect them from those who want to exterminate the red-man. Scott falls in love and marries a beautiful, Shoshone Indian princess called White Willow. Black Kittle speaks: "Strong Eagle, we have been forced to sign the Medicine Lodge Treaty, the Cheyenne and Arapaho had to leave our homeland in what white-man call Kansas and Colorado. We have been forced to move south to Indian Territory to a reservation west where the Washita River flows." When Black Kittle returned to his lodge his wife Medicine Women was waiting for him. She was very troubled and spoke of a vision that she had that night in her sleep. She said, "As I stood and looked out into the night I saw dark shifting shadows in the snow and there beneath the willow tree a wounded mother wolf morning for her little ones... "Yes, Chuck a rustling in the woods"...before anything else could be said soldiers came vaulting on horseback toward the village from all directions! A fla
