THE DEBUT BOOK OF POETRY AND PHOTOGRAPHY BY MR PEROXIDE,
Westerly Winds on Mars.
"The majority of these poems were written in the countryside that is photographed within the book. I have always thought that photography and poetry come hand in hand, capturing a unique moment in time and inviting the observer into its feeling and its unapologetic honesty through the eyes of the artist. I am incredibly humbled by the enthusiastic reactions to my photography online that I hope Westerly Winds on Mars can live up to those expectations and that you the reader may enjoy the book as much as I did creating it."- Mr Peroxide
Westerly Winds on Mars is home to 25+ black and white photographs and over 20 poems: Sadness Given Unapologetically, Drunk, Migraine, Traditional Method, For Free and Hydrangea. Only a limited number of these poems can be found here on the authors Instagram page (Mr_Peroxide_), the majority of these fictional poems are confined to the pages of this book, for you.The combination of these two mediums creates an imaginative and dramatic black and white landscape for the reader to walk peacefully within.
Reviews from Friends and Colleagues
"I've sat it (the book) next to my bed, I read a poem or look at a photograph a night, living in London, the pics of the countryside are so calming for me at the moment"
"Café (the poem) is brilliant because it's very narrative, it feels like a novel yet because of its form you read it like a song, and the emotions in it are so raw."
"You've nailed combining poetry and photography. Can't wait for the next one... Westerly Winds on Mars part two?"
