About the Author: I have always loved books. The smell, the touch, the very sight of them. I have books that I have read many times over; those that I intend to read, as well as those I simply love to explore for their beauty of design. So yes, I am an avid bookworm with books spilling over and about, everywhere. I have also, always loved to draw and paint - so there are paintings and paint materials filling up any empty spaces. Somewhat obsessional, should I am be reading a good book or into some art project, I often forget to eat. I married and raised two children who are now in the process of raising their own progeny. Each and all are independent of person with a healthy sense of humour. From the above, one could assume I am an somewhat of an aesthete, I would like to think so, but then I volunteered to actively fight in three wars. - so does that make me a 'dog of war' - probably - but survival does have the propensity to make one think. Thinking is usually the essential precursor to a career in writing. With me, I tend to write about that which I have some degree of experience and expertise in. From life experience, I believe that successful relationships in marriage and friendship are some of the best gifts that life has to offer. I believe firmly that marriage, the family unit, is still the greatest foundation for raising children with emotional happiness which is constructed from developing a solid sense of self. This is a broad generalization but it seems to hold true because the specter of child abuse is on the rise. It seems it is more likely to stem from the stresses placed on a single parent family, or from a breakdown of a family unit. So successful marriages are pivotable to a healthy community. A wedding is still the start of marriage, so I feel it is a good thing to assist in helping couples get off to a good start for the most important commitment of their lives - hence a book to help in making that day a success. Writing for me, has developed from a hobby to a passion, which is good, for not much gets done without enthusiasm, the basis of which is enjoyment and satisfaction. So in that respect, may you too also discover your true passion in life.
