Die vorliegende Untersuchung gibt Aufschluss darüber, auf welche Art und Weise das Internet - im speziellen das Web 2.0 - Einfluss auf die moderne Arbeitswelt und die gesellschaftliche Realität nimmt. Im Zeitalter der fortschreitenden Informationsgesellschaft wird es für ArbeitnehmerInnen immer bedeutender 24 Stunden am Tag erreichbar zu sein. Die modernen Kommunikationstechniken des Web 2.0 sind dafür unerlässlich geworden. Die Auswirkungen auf das Berufs- und Familienleben sind dabei nicht außer Acht zu lassen und werden in dieser Untersuchung näher beleuchtet. Für viele Unternehmen ist es mittlerweile undenkbar nicht in den sozialen Medien des Web 2.0 vertreten zu sein. Einerseits können Unternehmen mittels Plattformen wie Facebook, YouTube, Xing, etc. die gewünschte Zielgruppe durch Werbung erreichen. Andererseits könnten die eben genannten Web 2.0 Medien im Bereich der Human Ressourcen genutzt werden, um beispielsweise JobwerberInnen oder Unternehmen vorab gründlich zu durchleuchten, um dadurch zusätzliche Informationen zu sammeln. Diese Studie zeigt die Chancen und Risiken des Web 2.0 in der Arbeitswelt auf, d. h. positive und negative Aspekte dieser Entwicklung. Dazu werden neben der theoretischen Vorstudie drei verschiedene Unternehmen des Bankenwesens untersucht. Qualitative Interviews mit den jeweiligen Betriebsräten dieser Unternehmen geben dabei einen Aufschluss über die aktuelle Situation.
About the Author: Philip Lang wurde 1983 in Linz, Oberösterreich geboren. Schon in seinem Diplomstudium Sozialwirtschaft, an der Johannes Kepler Universität Linz, setzte er seine Schwerpunkte auf Arbeitsrecht, Gesellschafts- und Sozialpolitik sowie Arbeits- und Organisationssoziologie. Sein besonderes Interesse gilt neben der Flexibilisierung der Arbeitswelt, der öffentlichen Betriebswirtschaftslehre und dem Nonprofit Management.
