From the Introduction:
This book begins with lows and builds up to the highs on a steep incline, which a gracious reader described as "a constant crescendo." I began writing this book during personal, health, and financial crises in my life. It chronicles my awakening thus I didn't censor out the mess before the glory. An awakening can be a messy process. It is conscious expansion, which requires you to stretch beyond and undo personal beliefs and learnings that do not hold the test of truth when challenged by your conscious expansion.
On Shadow Work:
You can avert the need for crisis to awaken and shift energy gradually through practicing meditation, mindfulness, and sublimation. Sublimation is from the Latin word sublimare, meaning "to raise a higher status." Elevate your response.
The practices of meditation and mindfulness wedge you into the space of power, the present moment, to choose your response and helps you stay in it long enough, with enough focus and attention to shift. The response is energetic in nature and key to shifting energy to elevate life itself. This shift is a quantum leap, or what Gay Hendricks calls the big leap, through thresholds and out to higher levels of perception and awareness.
The guardian of this gift is the gift of shadow work.
