(Moritz Schlick) Diese Aussage von Moritz Schlick, leitender Philosoph und Wissenschaftler des Wiener Kreises, soll als Einstieg zum hier gewählten Thema über die moralische Persönlichkeitsstruktur unter dem Einfluss von systemischer Verstrickung dienen. In seinem Buch Fragen der Ethik behandelt er unter anderem die Frage: "Warum handelt der Mensch?" [...] Menschen handeln [...] auf unterschiedliche Art und Weise und können somit wiederum andere Menschen beeinflussen, so z.B. in der Politik. Sie können dies im positiven Sinne, aber auch im verwerflichen Sinne, wie z.B. durch kriminelle Handlungen tun. Aber wo liegt die Grenze des menschlichen Verstandes, um sich der eigenen oder auch angetanen Verwerflichkeit bewusst zu werden? Und wenn das Bewusstwerden eintritt, ab wann muss sich jemand verantwortlich fühlen und gar die Frage des Schuldbewusstseins mit sich vereinbaren? All dies sind Fragen, welche in dieser Hausarbeit nicht explizit, sondern hintergründig beantwortet werden sollen. Insbesondere werden diese in Hinblick auf den Einfluss politischer Systeme welche vor allem durch "Interessen, [...] Strukturen, Funktionen, Organisationen, Regime und vor allem um Macht" Einfluss auf das Individuum Mensch nehmen betrachtet, um die Handlungen einzelner Personen nachvollziehen zu können. Hierzu werden zwei wichtige Persönlichkeiten des 20. Jahrhunderts zur Analyse herangezogen.
