Das ist freilich keine Frage auf die es eine konkrete Antwort geben kann. Vielmehr soll sie als Leitfrage dienen, um im Verlauf dieser Arbeit das menschliche Entscheidungsverhalten im Internet besser zu verstehen und einige der größten Einflussfaktoren zu identifizieren. Der wichtigste Schritt dazu ist, den Prozess des menschlichen Entscheidens, wie auch den spezifischen Umgang des Menschen mit Entscheidungssituationen im Allgemeinen, zu verstehen. Deshalb wird der Leser am Anfang dieser Arbeit in die Grundlagen der Urteils- und Entscheidungspsychologie eingeführt, indem das strukturelle Konzept von Entscheidungen sowie ein Denkmodell, das die Informationsverarbeitung bei Entscheidungen erklärt, ausführlich vorgestellt werden. Im Anschluss daran wird der Prozess des Entscheidens in seinen einzelnen Phasen umfassend erläutert, während immer wieder auf konkrete Beispiele typischer Entscheidungssituationen im Internet eingegangen wird. Nachdem das theoretische Fundament gelegt wurde, werden einige Einflussvariablen analysiert, die einen besonderen Einfluss auf Konsumentenentscheidungen im Internet haben. Der Begriff 'Konsumentenentscheidungen' ist im Untertitel der Arbeit bewusst grob gefasst, da Entscheidungen im Internet sehr vielfältig sind und daher ein breites Spektrum an Entscheidungen betrachtet werden soll. Das 21. Jahrhundert ist geprägt von einer immer größer werdenden Anzahl an Produkten und Dienstleistungen, aus denen der Mensch die für ihn beste Wahl treffen muss. Mit Hilfe seines Smartphones ist der 'Phono Sapiens' jederzeit und überall in der Lage auf den Großteil der benötigten Informationen, der zum Urteilen und Entscheiden nötig wären, zuzugreifen und somit die rational beste Wahl zu treff
